It's looking likely that we'll be relocating from the UK to San Diego early next year. I have no idea where to start looking for a good school for my 6 year old! We'll be based north of San Diego city. Can anyone suggest any schools to start researching? Thanks!

1. Re: schools

San Diego is a big county and school districts will vary widely. My first step would be to go on to a San Diego County web site and see if you can get information about the different test scores in the different districts. Then each district should have their own website for more detailed info about each school. Then find a good Realtor in the area you think you might be interested in, even if your not buying. (try REMAX.Com most good realtors will have website that have school information on them also.) Realtors are very knowledgeable about the schools and the housing in the area. Good luck!

I would also suggest that you look at the San Diego Unified School District web page: http://www.sdcs.k12.ca.us/

Also, http://www.greatschools.net gives a detailed review of each school and compares their test scores with other schools in the area.
