Hi,

This is a very nice hotel, on the edge of Chinatown and the Theater District, about a 10 minute walk to Quincy Market. It is on the edge of what's left of the Combat Zone, and yes, you may see some homeless people drifting around.

If you want a hotel smack in the middle of the hustle and bustle, this isn't it. However, it's a fine place to stay if you have gotten a good price and you don't mind having to walk a couple of minutes to get to the tourist areas.

Other options would be the Marriott Custom House, the Omni Parker (which you are familiar with already), or along the waterfront, the Marriott Long Wharf, and the brand new Intercontinental Boston.
