Photography in Boston

I'm planning to go to Boston for about 2~3 days

Photography is just my hobby

and i enjoy taking a lot of landscape photos.

What are some cool places to to take photos

in Boston?

i would also like to see some historical places...

oh and one more thing!

i'm 19 years old...

is it possible for me to book a hotel room?

because i heard that in order to book a hotel room... you have to 21 years or older....

is this true?

I took a couple of photo tours with Photowalks. I took the Public Gardens tour and the Beacon Hill tour. I highly recommend it. It was excellent and I got some pretty fabulous pictures. Loved Beacon Hill. Here is a link to a Groupon and to her site. Enjoy!

One of my favorite views of Boston is from the Massachusetts Avenue bridge that crosses the Charles River from Boston to Cambridge. Another very photogenic sight is the Mount Auburn Cemetery about a mile outside of Harvard Square on the MBTA bus 71. Beacon Hill has lots of beautiful brick homes dating to the 1800s. Take the ferry from the New England Aquarium/Long Wharf to the Charlestown Navy Yard for a cheap harbor view of the Boston skyline.

Consider the Boston Public Library. Outside there are some beautiful statues that stood in as the courthouse location for the TV show Boston Legal. Inside are the murals by John Singer Sargent and the grand reading room. It's well worth seeing and photographing.

In addition to the Longfellow, the BU Bridge is another good location for photographs. It's just a bit further away with a different view of the skyline.
