Hyatt Regency Cambridge

We are staying at the Fairmont Copley Plaza but want to go to the Hyatt on the 4th July. Is it possible to get a cab there from the Fairmont or are all the roads closed. We are hoping to go around 8.p.m. How expensive is a cab. Thanks

If you want to be at the Hyatt on the 4th of July, you need to be there a lot earlier than 8 PM. First of all, call the Hyatt and ask them if you need tickets or reservations. A lot of places like that are booked months in advance. Second, if you can get in, a cab can get you there but it will be slower than normal with people gathering for the fireworks. If you want to be at the Hyatt, why don't you just stay at the Hyatt? It's probably cheaper than the Fairmont Copley, plus if you intend to get back to the Fairmont after the fireworks are over it will take you hours, probably would be faster to walk. The streets will be packed with people and getting a cab after the fireworks is very difficult.

It's pretty much impossible to cross the river after 5:00 unless you travel down to almost Watertown. Yes check to see if the Hyatt can accomodate you.
