Suite hotels?

We are looking for a hotel with a small kitchenette (we'll be eating out but for other reasons). We can't find a rental for the days we need and I even tried a houseboat with no luck (we were really looking forward to that). Can anyone recommend a suites type hotel nearer to North End if possible, but doesn't have to be.

Also, check Residence Inn in Cambridge, new RI in the Fenway and the Copley Inn in Back Bay.

And a new Residence Inn in the Seaport Area (Congress Street near the Children's Museum and Boston Tea Party Ship). They advertise full kitchens:

The Marriott Custom House is really one of my favorite properties and is wonderfully located near the Downtown Waterfront.

If you cannot find a rental (VRBO and elsewhere)l, is it because it is a super busy time? Or because it's over budget? If it's a super busy time, then hotels may be even more challenging to find.

If you provide your exact dates and budget, forum members may be able to provide some specific recommendations.

Also, is the kitchen important due to dietary constraints of preferences? Or just for food budget? There are lots of good cheap eats in Boston, so having a regular hotel and buying food "to go" could work if it's purely a money thing.

Is the residence Inn on Tudor in a nice area (not too commercial)? Is it in a better location that the other new residence Inn in downtown area? (Especially to the North End).

We'll be eating out but need it for other reasons. It is the weekend of Aug 23/24. We can find many places for the 24th but not for the 23rd. Hotels seem to have a lot more room.

There is also a new Residence Inn in the Fenway area near the hospitals.

They had space when I just checked. I think this just opened.

We've stayed at Tudor. About 15 minutes to north end. Some restaurants in area, otherwise pretty quiet.
