Parking for the day?

We will be vacationing in the Boston area at the end of July. We are staying in Medford and will drive in to Boston for a couple day trips. Where is the best place to park when going on one of the Duck tours and also when touring the North end of Boston?

The most central garage is the Boston Common Underground Garage. It is also one of the most reasonable (by Boston standards, at least): $23 during the week and $12 on weekends and evenings. The Duck Tours leave from either the Prudential Center, Science Museum or Aquarium, all of which have their own much more expensive parking. There are open lots in the Seaport District between Northern Avenue and Congress Streets that cost around $14 during the day, but then you would have to get wherever you needed to be from there.

Consider driving to the subway's Wellington station and parking in one of the lots there.

If you are just going in for one thing at a time, you could drive in and park at the Museum of Science or at the Prudential Center for a Duck Tour.

You could park at one of the waterfront lots or garages on Commercial St./Atlantic Ave. for the North End.

If you are going into town for the day and going to be moving around doing different things it would be convenient to drive to Wellington and park there and take the subway. I think it's only $5 or $6 to park there. Then, once in town you can get around by foot and subway. Boston is not a place where it makes sense to drive between destinations downtown.

I work in the city and I'm from Medford. If u get on interstate 93 South (which goes right thru Medford) all you need to do is go 2-4 exits to Sullivan Sq. . Parking is $6 for the day for the orange line train. It will put you downtown or connect you to any other train that will get you anywhere in the city within 3 stops.
