Craft cocktails in Boston, Cambridge

Hello. Going to Boston for some visiting and sightseeing. We'd like to find some spots to indulge in some creative cocktails . "Drink" is the only place we've got on a to do list.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

I'm a fan of www.aragostabistro.com If the weather is nice, you can sit outside by the water, but the bar is great. It's usually pretty quiet, so it's not the spot for you if you are looking for someplace that's lively, the service and drinks are great.

I would not list aragosta as a top craft cocktail bar by Boston standards.

The Hawthorne and Eastern Standard certainly are, and are close to your hotel.

Across the street from Drink is the brand new Tavern Road, with a top-notch bar program.

Number 9 Park, a high end restaurant, also has a killer cocktail program.

In Central Square, in Cambridge (an easy trip on the red line of the "T"), are Brick and Mortar and Green Street, two more great craft cocktail bars.

In Harvard Square, I've had great drinks at Park Restaurant and Russell House, but would not quite put them in the caliber of the places already listed. Very close, though.

There is also backbar, in Somerville, but that's a little tricky to get to. Also, to a lesser extent, Highland Kitchen.

There's a place called Drink in the Seaport District (near South Station) that is probably the trendiest cocktail place right now.

Benji55, you're killing me with your use of "off " in all your posts. I wasn't going to say anything but it's driving me crazy. You mean to write "of."
