Traveling Mid May-downtown too expensive

This may have been asked, but I can't seem to find it but I am traveling Mid May (15-21) and am looking for somewhere to stay that is decent, but not $200 + per night.

I was looking at the candelwood suites in Braintree. I won't have a car and I wasn't sure how convenient that was to public transportation. Any assistance, or other options, would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Check out the Oasis Guest house in Boston, reasonable rates, good reviews & great location

You are coming during college graduation season so hotels will be at top prices

Also, check out a private room with an ensuite bathroom at the new HI hostel in central Boston. Very clean and nice, more like a hotel than a hostel.

That is the biggest college graduation weekend of the year. You are unlikely to get anything at a bargain price. The private room at the hostel may be your best bet

Thank you! the Oasis was unfortunately sold out, but I'll definitely need to remember that for my next trip. The hostel sounds like a good deal, just need to sell the idea to a friend.

Thanks!

I'll keep looking but it may look like Boston is out of the question for May....

I found a DoubleTree in Bedford...is Bedford far from Boston?

Yes, and there is no convenient public transportation available. If you are not renting a car or are not willing to pay for parking (or both!), please use the search tool above as I suggested.

Look at the Hotel Indigo in Newton, it is right next to Riverside, the last stop on the D train of the Green line. You can walk from the hotel to the train.
