Food / Drink near Copley Square

Hi

We're staying at the Copley Square hotel. I'm thinking the night of arrival we might want somewhere pretty local as will be v. tired from the flight. Can you recommend any nice places to eat or drink nearby?

Thanks

There are a ton of restaurants around that area. What kind of food are you looking for? I like Paparazzis a lot.

Are you looking for high end, pizza, pub, seafood? There are tons of restaurants in this area. A coupe blocks over from your hotel is Newbury St., lined with restaurants and cafes. Boylston St. too. Very close to your hotel is Turner Fisheries. Nearby also is Sorellina, high end, with good food and a stylish room. Sel de la Terre is also good, less high end, and a bit further of a walk away.

It's an area where you'll have no problem doing something last minute, according to your mood and energy level. I also like Papparazzis, but it could be more crowded than you want depending on your energy level and exactly when you go (is it 8pm on a Tues night or 7pm on a Fri night?).

Just use google maps to get an idea of what is around, then wing it. Walk in whichever direction has a lot of bars/restaurants that appeal to you and see what strikes your fancy. If it's a Fri or Sat night, let us know as you'll need to avoid some of the most popular places unless you're willing to wait, or want to book a reservation.

If you'd rather have something planned, provide more details about your preferences. There are a ton of choices in the area.

If you really want something close, City Table in the Lenox Hotel is a very good restaurant almost across the street (Exeter) from where you'll be staying. Brasserie Jo is a good restaurant about a block away on Huntington Ave. (away from Copley Sq.). There's also a good casual food, burger place called 5 Napkin Burger across Huntington from Brasserie Jo.

Great thanks for all the tips. We are arriving on a Saturday evening, do you think we can wander or will we need to have somewhere booked?

There are so many choices, you can wander; have a drink and people watch if you have to wait for a table somewhere. If you were focused on going to one particular place, I would book.
