Accessible Travel info from the Commonwealth of Mass

This just came over on the state's twitter stream.

massvacation.com/getAround/accessible-travel…

It's a page with lots of information and resources for Accessible Travel in Massachusetts.

Fact checking from the regular team here would be great. In general, it looks like a pretty good list to me. But, I know we have some real experts here.

Thanks for posting this Penny. It's interesting. I've only travelled w/ somebody in a wheelchair for a short time, so I have no first hand experience with most of these things.

We looked into adaptive skiing at Mount Sunapee a few years ago, but you need to sign up, "join the club" so to speak in order to take advantage of all it has to offer. It was a very impressive program.

Unfortunately, my husband has recently developed severe knee problems that cannot be properly addressed at this time because of other medical issues ... so maybe in the coming months I'll be looking at this more closely. We are going to tackle the topsfield fairwith a wheelchair for the first time ever,

This made me remember that this summer I photographed a outrigger on the Esplanade Canoeway that was part of an accessible adventure for one of the passengers. I looked it up afterwards and I'll add this to the list for both locals and perhaps visitors.

Everyone onboard was having a great time.
