Boston Visit

I have taken my son age 11 this year to NYC for the past two Easters and we have loved it. We are now wondering whether to branch out and are considering Boston. Does Boston have the same range of things to do, book shops and theatres as NYC. Can you get a decent reasonably priced hotel? Is it easy and safe to travel and are attractions pretty localised? Any info would be much appreciated. We are based in the UK.

1. Re: Boston Visit

Boston is a wonderful city to visit. Very walkable with lots to see and do within walking distance of your hotel. There are bookstores galore and theatres - not as many as NYC - but usually some play or musical, etc is playing in Boston. Easter weekend is when they bring out the Swanboats in the Common and that is always fun to do. Lots of hotels in Back Bay where most of your attractions are. DO NOT MISS THE DUCK TOUR!!! It is great fun. There are a lot of other tours via trolley or bus too. Have fun!!
