Can anyone tell me where I can get the best clam chowder in the South End or Back Bay area? Thanks.
Almost any chowder you get will be somebody's favorite, and there are innumerable places to get chowder. I've tried only a small fraction of the possibilities, but two places in the Copley mall make what I consider excellent chowder: Legal Seafoods and Turner Fisheries.
Clam Chowder is everywhere and there are lots of different opinions about "favorite" chowders....
but my favorites are Legal Seafood (for a thicker creamier chowder)
and Top of the Hub (for a thinner chowder with lots of clams)
I am sure you will get a lot of different opinions!
Enjoy Boston!
I am not an expert by any means, but I thought Legal's clam chowder was yummy!
In the South End, try B&G Oysters.
My vote is for Legal's....
