Re ommend a Marriott property in Boston

We're considering a week in Boston for a, let's just say, milestone birthday, and the plan is to use Marriott points. Hoping someone might be able to recommend a hotel? Thinking either waterfront - love maritime stuff - downtown, or any location which we could do a lot of walking to shops, cafes, museums etc. We like courtyard, residence inn, Marriott, *maybe* Ritz altho that's getting beyond my pay grade. That said, even tho i said Marriott, a great location trumps (not *that* Trump) hotel brand. So if there's something other than Marriott, but it's perfect location, that'd be a possibility. Thank you for any advice.

There are a bunch of Marriotts in town that will suit your needs. The Marriott Lomg Wharf is on the water.

Last month my family stayed at the Courtyard Marriott North Station and we all felt it made a great base location for exploring Boston. The hotel was excellent, especially the rooms, amenities, and staff. We were able to walk everywhere in Boston (very close to the freedom trail) and the subway station was just 1 block away.

Long Wharf was my first choice for waterfront. Custom House is a great historic property with amazing views.

Courtyard North Station has been open less than 6 months and getting good reviews.

The Back Bay is popular with visitors with lots of restaurants and shopping. Marriott Copley place is attached to an upscale mall. The Courtyard on Exeter Street is well located and gets decent reviews

Custom House and Long Wharf great locations. You might also look at Kendall Square - both a Marriott and a Residence Inn, and right on the Red Line. Two stops from Park Street one way, and two to Harvard Square the other.

I would suggest the Long Wharf if you want to be right on the water, and the Custom House because the views from the tower rooms are spectacular.

The Marriott Copley Place is a good choice for shopping as iit is in between the Copley Place and Prudential malls and you can access both and the hotel by the malls and an indoor walkway that connects them. If you request a high room fronting on the river the view is amazing!!

If you want one more, the Liberty hotel (former SPG) is a great building -- it's a former Jail, and it's on the Charles River. Many rooms have river views and it's close to Charles Street and not far from the Boston Common and Public Garden.
