Where to stay downtown

My husband and I are planning our honeymoon for Memorial Day Weekend. We love breakfast so were leaning towards a B&B. But for cost reasons are also considering staying at a regular hotel and going out for a nice breakfast. Really interested in it being within walking distance of restaurants. Would like to spend under $135 a night if breakfast was included at the b&b or less then $90 it's a regular hotel. We are not interested in dining at a hotel because local grown and freshly prepared is a big draw and reason we are coming to Asheville.

Any recommendations?

(B&B must have a private bath)

To be honest, you will have a very difficult time finding accommodations over Memorial day weekend in downtown Asheville for less than $200-250 a night. If you aren't picky and don't mind a 2 star hotel, there is the Downtown Inn on Patton ave you might score for $100 a night. If you go away from downtown, to the hotels on Tunnel Road, you might find something around $150 a night that might be 3-4 stars. If it is really your honeymoon then just splurge on a really nice place like the new ALOFT hotel downtown or the INDIGO.

You might want to try your luck on Priceline.com or Hotwire.com. If you have never used those sites, do some research on Betterbidding.com first.
