4 days in Asheville Area

We will be travelling with our 2 kids (age 5 and 3) and have researched vrbo properties, one available 10mins to Asheville and the other in Black Mountain (30 mins to Asheville) with mountain views. We were thinking of visiting the Biltmore Estate and ziplines. Also looking for other suggestions of things to do/towns to visit in the area. Would it be best to base close to Asheville or in Black Mountain? Heading to Franklin area afterwards for 1 week.

The five year old may like this:

"If your child is 5 years old and 36" tall they can ride with an adult of 18 years or older. "

I would stay in Ashville.

Some other suggestions:

Hi there,

The Asheville CVB here. Black Mountain is a beautiful community with lots of artists and cool downtown shops, but more of the kid-friendly activities are in Asheville. You can always take the 20 minute drive over to Black Mountain for a day trip. Either way you can't go wrong.

PS> Check out Splasheville in downtown Asheville. It's a lot of fun for kids. Just be sure to have a towels and extra clothes on hand. It lives up to its name.

Have fun!
