City & Harbor Tours

Hello - I'm doing some advance planning for an August long weekend getaway to San Francisco. We've been before and really only did Alcatraz. No need to go back. Would be interested in a cool city tour - pehaps one that included going to Sausilto and/or harbor tour.

Any good recommendation for dinner out in China Town?

We are also going to a ballgame too while there...

Appreciate any and all advice to fill up the days :)

Thank you!

Two companies that do bay tours/cruises are Blue and Gold Fleet http://www.blueandgoldfleet.com/#cruises and Red and White Fleet http://www.redandwhite.com/ .

You can likely find vendors who have pre-set bundles of land and water fun, but they are likely reselling other people's products. Why not book the tours and cruises you're specifically interested in so you get exactly what you want?

Ferries also go to Sausalito from the Ferry Building ( goldengateferry.org/schedules/Sausalito.php ) and from pier 41 ( …blueandgoldfleet.com/ferry-routes-schedules… ) in case you decide on that option.

There are a lot of different tours of the city from Hop-On Hop-Off buses to smaller tours. They are reviewed pretty extensively in other parts of Trip Advisor for example just search for tours. Dylan's often gets mentioned favorably as a good smaller group tour on the forums.

Check out goldstar.com for discount cruises. You can get most for close to half price. They are featured a lot. I've done the Bride 2 Bridge cruise twice and it's good. There are headsets with recorded information (though I was on one tour where they played it over the loudspeakers, which was unfortunate because it was difficult to hear in the wind).

There are all sorts of specialty city tours -- SF Movie Tours, the Magic Bus, Vantigo (VW bus tour). Also specialty walking tours -- food tours, free SF City Guide tours, Victorian house tours, etc.

For a different bay cruise, look into the Rocket Boat, Bay Voyager (a RIB tour), or ACSailingSF (on America's Cup style sailboats). There's even a water taxi from Sausalito to SF (expensive, but might be fun).

However, I'd do Sausalito and the bay cruises separately from the city tour for flexibility of scheduling.
