dinner cruise

Ok experts between these 2 Christmas dinner cruises which is better and why?

I know it's been mentioned the food isn't the best

But my family isn't into fancy food

Since it is 5 adults seems like a memorable way to spend Christmas

music

Food and city views

Oh well. Looks like dinner Cruises is an agent or ticket broker. Hornblower is the actual company that does the second cruise and We've been on a few as part of a holiday event or a company event. We went because of the company and the occasion and certainly not for the food.

Freberd, you are right, it's the view, the view, the view. Could be very clear, or stormy, but it will be memorable. The food is not bad, just not fabulous. I'm sure you can deal with it. Camera and warm coats and hats are in order.

The Hornblower is "supper" -- 3:30 -6:30PM.

The other, and the photo does look like a Hornblower boat, is "dinner" beginning at 7:30.

Perhaps that time difference will help you decide. I did one of these once, and never again, but then I do get mildly motion sick and more after a wine or two.

Hope you think differently.

I think you should call. The cruise company I doubt has their own boats/ ships all over the country -- if they do I am surprised they do not brand them.

The dinnercruises.us ship is the California Hornblower: http://www.hornblower.com/hce/port/yacht/sf+14

So, it looks like regardless of where you book, you'll get the same ship.

Here's a link to a regular menu from Hornblower:

I do wonder if you should wait a month to see if tickets become available on Goldstar.com. They have dinner cruises now through 12/1 for 40% off.

Talked to Hornblower

Do not know menu yet probably buffet

Using ship called California

Senior discount

can pay extra to guarantee window

Left message for dinner cruise

They list buffet menu

But cheaper price and no upgrade to window

I will wait for call back for more information

Good idea on goldstar

Thanks

Belomiser i think your right same boat just different people selling tickets

Funny thing Hornblower does not know buffet menu yet

Dinnercruises does but may be subject to change

Hornblower says tables private

Dinnercruise said share round tables

Hornblower has upgrade for window

dinnercruises says you can request no fee

Hornblower says 2 floors buffet and entertainment on both

Dinnercruises says buffet on one

Entertainment on the other

Clear as mud now
