I wouldn't think so.

Going quick I would still allow 2 hours.

You do have to take the ferry to the island, then get off and take a shuttle or walk to the main part of the prison, then you are pretty much on your own with an audio tour and you return to your start and take a ferry back. I don't remember how often the ferries come and go, but if you are that much in a hurry, then I wouldn't bother. You are not herded around on a "guided tour".

(At least we were not on the night tour we took.)

You really don't want to miss the audio tour of the prison. That's what makes the visit really worth while. You should count on a couple of hours at least not counting the boat ride there and the wait time for boats.

I like to go through tours somewhat quickly and skipped the audio track when I visited Alcatraz a few years ago, but it still took at least 2 hours on the island plus 20 minutes each way on the ferry. Budget a minimum 3 hours total to see Alcatraz.
