And do a key word search for "one thing." Someone asked that very same question a month or so ago. Lots of responses you might want to check out.

Have a great trip, Buckeye! It looks as though you are going to have some awesome weather for some of the aforementioned hiks... youmay even want to pack a pair of shorts!

I would catch a bus to the top of the Twin Peaks route (no 37 from Castro) then walk the rest of the way, (about 15 minutes to the top)for the best view ever.

Go up to Twin Peaks, and view the entire city in one, if you stand in the right place, you can look right along Market Street, as far as the Ferry Building, which used to be the tallest building in San Francisco.

Don't miss the Red and White fleet, boat ride. You cruise for a hour all over the Bay and under the golden gate bridge. They tell you all about san Francisco. Then eat at Tarantino's nearby yum!!! If you can see the Palace of Fine arts, its worth it. Golden Gate Park, Pier 39 with the seals, so much to see. And take a peek at Sausalito. So beautiful and romantic. I grew up in San Francisco, there is not another place like it.

one resturant suggestion I have for a fair priced meal that is very good is a small Italian place called UMBRIA. It is on the corner of second and Howard which is between Mission and Folsom streets.

Nice food, nice people and reasonably priced.

There are way too many things to do in Frisco, I´ve lived there for a couple of years and my suggestions are:

1. Get the BAY CITY GUIDE (free) once you land in the city, its the best guide and its free. You have maps, attractions, timetables, etc.

2. ALCATRAZ. A MUST attraction and one of the best views of Frisco. You should buy tickets a day in advance or earlier in the day.

3. Fishermans Wharf. A paradise for tourists, just walk around and dont spend too much money. Eat at the ASABELLAS TOWER, not the expensive one but the cheap one, a CIOPPINO.

4. Walk the city, from embarcadero to FW and all Powell and, and, and. Its a great city to walk.

5. Golden Gate Bridge. Another MUST. Cross the bay and take pics from several Vista Points.

6. Go to Tiburon and have a beer in one of the restaurants over the water.

7. Ocean Beach, the Cliff House.

8. Twin Peaks, great views

9. Coit Tower, great views

10. Eat pizza in North beach Pizza, you can walk to the Coit tower and eat it while watching the scenery.

11. If you have a car, enjoy the ride from SF to Santa Cruz through US1. impressive.

12. ENJOY

1. Go back again and again!

2. Bike the Bridge (yes I bought the t-shirt)

3. Have a night out in the Castro (some fun places...and sights!)

4. Talk to the locals - they are soooo friendly

5. Shop!

Sorry - did you say one thing??????
