Overnight Parking in San Francisco

Need advise on overnight parking in downtown San Francisco, CA. Safe and not too expensive. Any advise?

Will be there w/ my small family, and staying at The Donatello on Post Street for one week.

Parking charge at the hotel is so expensive (USD35/night). Any recommendation on cheap and safe overnight parking garage in the area, with walking distance to the hotel.

Your help will be highly appreciated!

If you will be going in and out with the car, I would just park it at the Donatello. While $35 is a lot for parking, it is a reasonable price compared to the options and what other hotels charge.

You can save a few dollars by parking at the Mason/O'Farrell Garage on their hotel package which is a block from the hotel. You can even find less expensive parking further away, but it will not be in an area you really want to be walking back and forth to.

If you really want to save on the parkning, get rid of the car while you are in San Francisco.
