Yosemite Park will be open....

Tioga Pass might be closed dependent on when the first snows come. This year it was mid October.

If Tioga is open (and you won't know till its mid October)....

1) Yosemite

2) Death Valley

If Tioga is closed

1) Lake Tahoe

2) Death Valley

Lodging should be relatively easy to get that time of year since its mid week November.

November 1st is cutting it really close if you wan to use Tioga Pass. The last two years it has closed October 17 and 31st. During the 6 years bfore that it was closed during early and mid November and in 1999 it didn't close until January. here's alink to historical openings and closings:

The yosemite valley will be open and if you are able to travel over Tioga Pass or through any sierra pass during that time you should carry chains to ensure passage.

Are you asking where to stay in Yosemite? You should arrange to stay at Yosemite Lodge unless you intend to visit yosemite and drive on and in that case you might want to stay on the east side at Lee Vining, Mammoth Lakes or Bishop. Best Western Creekside which is nicely located within walking distance of restaurants. There is also an Indian Casino right along main street 395 in Bishop. Bishop is about 1.5 hours from Lee Vining. Mammoth is about 30 minutes south of Lee Vining.
