Poipu Kapili vs Poipu Shores vs....

Hello!

Sorry to post a question which has been answered ten different ways already, but I have read a hundred forum posts and am still confused.

We are heading to Kauai in July next year for approximately a week for our honeymoon. We are in our 30's and looking for somewhere nice to stay - clean, ocean-views, etc.

Air- conditioning is an absolute must, as we live in Brisbane Australia and already have the air-con on now in Spring.

We also want to feel close to the ocean, so not like a slither of a view and a road in between.

Between Poipu Kapili and Poipu Shores, which is the general preferred? I understand condos are often individually owned and maintained.

Any others we should consider?

Thank you as always!

Koloa Landing isn't at the beach or the shoreline. Figure about a 10 minute walk over to the shoreline. Whether or not you can see the sunset from the KL unit is dependent upon the unit - it's location, floor it's on and if another unit is blocking the views. If you go to Wyndham Koloa Landing you can see the diagram of the property.

As mentioned no beach at Koloa Landing, but distinct water views from Buildings 6& 9. There would be a Sunset view from floors 3&4 during much of the yr.

Koloa Landing is located behind Poipu Kapili with the majority of the development that has been completed just a little west of it.

Koloa Landing is an upscale property with fabulous styling. There is a "quiet pool" on property that may be of interest to you. July , however is a popular time in the US for young families to vacation so a totally "quiet" locale may be tougher to find.

Many Poipu Kapili units now have air conditioned bedrooms. The breeze from being right on the ocean is constant and cooling. I've heard most guests who stay in air conditioned units comment that they never needed to turn them on.

Kauai's hottest months are August and September.

There is a road between Poipu Kapili and the ocean, but the views are definitely not a "sliver." Check out their website for photos - each unit has at least one photo of the view.
