Looking for the best luau in Kauai, either east or south shore. Any updated advise? Thanks!
Type in LUAU in the search box above. Tons of threads will pop up. Smith's is a favorite of many of ours. They are located on the East side.
Yes - I would recommend Smith's! :)
I like Smith's the best, but I've heard good things about Kalamaku for those who want something different. I've not heard anyone raving about the south shore luaus.
I know you're not looking for something up north, but the Mediterranean Gourmet has one on Tuesdays, which is good for those staying up in Ha'ena... and now, more intimate still, I've been noticing that Tahiti Nui has been fixing to open up their Luau room again. Sign is up, but no open date that I could see. Sorry if someone else posted about this, but I don't get on the boards very often!
That is interesting news, Hula. I will have my North Shore contacts confirm the Nui rumor.
I've got business up north on Tuesday, so I might stop in and ask. The sign is up, there are tables and decorations set up inside... It's on the other end of the building from the lounge, next to the Iti Wine Bar. Was excited to see it the other day. I'll find out more this week.
I went to Smith's a few years ago with my family and I have to disagree. It was not worth the $. I've seen a better show in Oahu such as Germaine's or Paradise. I would save it for another island, but that's just my opinion.

#7 appears to be a typical one post wonder. As in, I wonder with what other luau this person has an affiliation?
Thank you for my first chuckle of the morning, Dave.
