What's the weather like in November. Statistics I've seen indicate the most rain in November., but how much is 138mm????????

Is the northeast side of the island the rainy side?

It is a tropical rainforest that the volcano sits in. That means rain like up here in the PNW. 138 mm is 5.4331 inches.

It will be cool and rainy at volcano, and likely along most of the East coast of the BI. It will still be sunny and warm (albeit a bit windy) along the Kohala coast and just north of Kona. The NE side of the island will get lots of rain, but really anything on the slops on the East side catches those moist trades and wrings ‘em out.

Good luck and happy travels!

marlemae...which island do you plan to visit?

Kilauea town on the island of Kauai or the Kilauea volcano on the Big Island.

Oops, should have mentioned Kilauea area on the island of Kauai, not the Big Island.
