Roadwork delay Hwy 11 near Zoo during Merrie Monarch

Apparently TPTB in their infinite wisdom have elected to resume a roadwork project that was started months ago this week, Merrie Monarch week. So far I have only been through it once (when it was happening before Christmas), but it was slow then and a Punaweb poster or two say it is a Looong delay.

Itʻs a repaving project, IIRC, and they are shutting down one side of the divided highway and routing both directions on the other two lanes. Meaning that everyone has to merge and go very slow. I will get to enjoy it Friday when I go down there.

So allow some extra time during work hours, both ways. I havenʻt seen the current work yet, but before they had it so they put all lanes back in use when they finished for the day, not sure if that is the case still. I will monitor the topic.

It only hung me up 15 minutes, but this guy posting (whom I know IRL and heʻs not the type to exaggerate a lot), said he thought it would be an hour or more, enough to where he just turned around even though he had a job to get to.
