An overnight stay between Yellowstone and Salt Lake City

Hi folks!

What would you recommend?

We have three nights at OFL and are then driving south to SLC. We planned to stay one night in the Jackson area. Would you stay near Jackson Lake, Jackson or even Alpine?

I appreciate every recommendation. Thank you

Either Jackson Lake or Jackson Hole.

I suggest that you stay in Jackson, which offers a variety of restaurants, saloons, shopping and entertainment. Alpine is a nice little town, but has only a few motels and little to do. By the way, Jackson Hole is the valley north of the town of Jackson.
