Trying to save a few $

Any advice on some good value places to stay if we do not stay at one of the "mega" resorts. If we did this which water park would be the best value for those that do not stay on their complex?

There is so much information....just trying to get recommendations to focus in on two to three places for lodging and water parks. Thanks in advance.

Your best bet to stay for the least amount of $$ is to find a smaller motel that offers a reduced or free deal for either Noah's Ark or Mt. Olympus. A lot of the motels offer a deal on one or the other. Keep in mind you will pay to park at Mt. Olympus. There are several motels reviewed that offer those deals -- look for one that appeals to you.

Don't pay a day fee for Kalahari or Chula Vista. They just don't compare to the other parks.

I should also state that it would be two parents and two boys age 10 and 12.

http://www.indiantrailmotel.com/ one that offers pkgs. and has some nice on-site things for the kids, it's rated high on TA. That's only one of many examples. Blackhawk is popular and well rated too:

this one includes Chula Vista

e-mail www.culvers.com for the Deals in the Dells (free) card and your child that fits the 11 and under will get in free to attractions (Noah's Ark no longer included but I think Mt. Olympus is).

The best waterpark and worth every penny is Noah's Ark. So if you can splurge and do that and save in the motel dept. I recommend that route highly.

Cheapest hotel Ive stayed at is the Colonial. It is right on the strip so lots to do around it. The colonial is a decent hotel for the price and nice owners. Rooms are clean, beds are just ok. Best deal for water park is probably Noah's Arc, but I would suggest going on a week day or the lines you stand in are not worth it.

Hello!

I am doing research too and just saw on the Noah's Ark website that if you stay at The Flamingo or the Mayflower Motel you get 2 free tickets to the park!! Here's the link http://www.noahsarkwaterpark.com/great-deals/!

Always check reviews for each property too, those can be helpful as much as the websites in picking the right place. Yes Noah's Ark is best enjoyed on some of the weekdays early in the week (the closer to the weekend the busier you'll find them) for less time in line and more time enjoying the rides.

Also check out the WIsconsin Dells Coupon Book. It cost $20, but tons of 2 for 1 deals.

Check out hotels.com and search on Wisconsin Dells. You'll see Tamarack listed. I'm thinking about doing that for our trip in late august. Prices are really good for a 2bed condo and the place gets good reviews. Seems more like a condo than a motel, which is nice.
