Driving through in August, 2014

We are planning to drive through Spokane, stopping overnight, in August, 2014.

Can anybody recommend a nice hotel option, near some reasonable food, that would keep us close to the highway?

Thanks.

Many options here:

Spokane Valley, Mirabeau Park hotel, just off the freeway with a great restaurant on-site, and a large mall with many choices across the road.

Downtown is only 4-5 blocks off the freeway, again a number of coices, though rates are higher in August. The nicer properties centrally located are those assoiated with the Davenport Hotel collection, but many other standard brand hotel available.

West Spokane, everything from the Northern Quest Casio, nice hotel and dining on site (it full blown casino here) to chain hotels about a mile of the freeway (northern quest is 2 mile off the freeway)

Let us know if you have more specific details and we can narrow down some recommendations.

Dana I agree with K2kellyon those suggestions. But first are you going to have any time to sight see or shop or is it strictly an overnight stay,.I'm assuming you are heading west if so let us know it will help with hotel/motel selections, also what price range are you talking of, say 2,3 or 4 stars places.

In downtown I often suggest the Red Lion River Inn...

www.redlion.com

It has secure parking there is a fee unless you are a veteran then it's free.

It's across from the park and restaurants, shopping and the park is great fun and worth a visit. The Inn is easy to get to off the freeway it's a straight shot no wandering around trying to find a place. I have often had clients and friends stay there and they liked it just fine.

Happy to help here . I have worked in the luxury hotel industry in spokane for some time and my best recommendation is the Montvale Hotel Or the Hotel Lusso, can't go wrong with the Davenport hotel also. These hotels will put you right in the middle of downtown and in all the fun areas of Spokane.

There's a Hampton Inn in Spokane Valley which is right off the freeway. It 'a close to the Valley Mall and lots of eating and shopping choices. It is about a 15-20 min drive to downtown Spokane.
