Visiting Spokane/CDA this weekenk

We are going to Pullman for our brother's graduation on Saturday. We will be driving from Seattle to Pullman and stay for a few hours then go to either Spokane or CDA, then rerurn to Seattle on Sunday night. We are not sure if we have enough time to enjoy both cities for a day and half.

Where would you reccomend us to stay? and due to our limitted time, what are the must see things/ attractions that we should not miss?

Thank you very much for your inputs.

Vicky, the problem with this weekend in spokane is the Bloomsday race the largest in the world so finding places to stay will be hard in lieu of that. I'd think about Coeur d'Alene. It's to bad in a way because there will be lots of fun stuff going on in Spokane but you would have had to have booked a room months ago. The Davenport hotel has a few rooms available but at a high price. I can look into places further for you if you would like.

Vicky the park itself is great.

Manito park is another great park to see, the Lilac garden is in full bloom now it's suppose to be one of the biggest in the country.

Check this web-site to get some other ideas.....

Do you have children with you, if so I can give you some ideas there.

Do you like wineries or sight seeing etc.? Give me an idea and I'll see if I can help.

Vicky, you're welcome.

For wineries give these two a look in my opinion they are the best.

We got back to Seattle safely on late sunday night. We would like to thank TA especially Collie who had helped us through our trip.

We stayed overnight in CDA at Ameritel hote,l which we liked alot. We checked out the CDA resort, shops, floating boardwalk, and Splash bar. Then we spent a couple hours at the casino.

Collie, you were right. Riverfront Spokane was so crowded and it was fun. We did checked out the Manito park, but did not see any lilacs :-(((. We loved the scenery at Arbor Crest. What a trip.

Vicky, thanks for the post. It was probably a little early for Manito I do need to go up there

and check it out and find out what's up with the lilacs and other plants that are blooming elsewhere in the city.

But I'm glad you had a good time while in this part of the country, please come back if you can.
