we will be visiting washingtondc for 3 days and 2 days in williamsburg and were looking for attractions and restaurants that could be recommended.

You might want to check in the Williamsburg and DC forums - there are some good threads there.
Williamsburg attractions include Colonial Williamsburg, the two Jamestown sites, the two Yorktown sites plus the riverwalk at Yorktown, President's Park, Ripley's Believe It or Not, the Pottery, Prime Outlets, golf, Busch Gardens, etc.
Restaurants have several threads in the Williamsburg Forum.
