fishing from piers?

my grandson is wanting to do some fishing from the piers or beach and was wondering about needing a license, best spot, etc.

I found some info on this but was older and things change.

we are staying at the Capes, hopefully something close by. Another question....we will be there next week and from the weather it looks like it could rain, here if it says 30% we usually don't get much, is it the same for there?

The closest to you would then be the 15th St pier (Virginia Beach Fishing Pier) that you can see from some of the pix of Capes. $8 to fish; $2 if you're not fishing.

Check this site out if you're into info gathering. More info on fishing in VB. Let us know what other questions you have as you fine tune.

Great thing about the pier is that you don't have to have a license!
