Any difference between Courtyard Oceanfront/North & South

Hi. My family is coming to VA Beach for a week. Our plan is for a week in July. The Oceanfront North has nothing available until August 7th. The South has our week in July available.

I was wondering if there are any differences between the two hotels and locations? We have two kids, ages 6 and 2.

Thanks in advance.

Go with South. It has an indoor pool which you might enjoy. Also it is central to all the action. Look at these 2 sites:

www.vbwave.com -- click on Route Map and you will see that the North location is at the far end of the trolley route

www.vbhma.com -- you can do a side-by-side comparison of the 2 hotels

The Courtyard North has a GREAT pool. But the Courtyard South is where all the action is and the strip of stores. There is a all year carnival by the Courtyard South.

Thanks for the replies. I will definitely keep my reservation for the South hotel in July. The price is a bit cheaper than the North hotel too.

Do you think the hotel is worth $200/night?

Hmm -- that's a loaded question! I don't think ANYTHING is worth $200 a night, but that's the going rate for beach oceanfront. Courtyard by Marriott is a reliable chain, so I'd say yes, go for it.

Yeah, I'm really struggling with paying that price. I think we are going to go with the Comfort Inn on Pacific Avenue. It has a full free breakfast plus my husband's job has a discount so it's $140/night + tax.

I don't mind walking the block to the beach to save $300 plus we are planning two days at Busch Gardens.

Thanks.
