Whaler's Village

I have another question. At the entrance to Whaler's Village(Oceanside) I know there is Leilani's, Hula Grill, and there used to be Cane and Taro, which I think is gone now. What is in the C&T spot? Does anyone have any experience with eating there?

Thanks!

2 thumbs up for Maui Fish and Pasta!!! Definately check out the happy hour specials. They are also on Open Table. We ate there on 12/26/13. The happy hour was 25% off everything except the lobster tail. We had the crunchy tuna roll, scallops, ahi tuna and the calamari. The tuna was so good that we even ordered an extra one. Great service. Can't wait to return.

Thanks to all of you. Mamma, I'm happy to hear about the Onion soup. Cane and Taro's was excellent.

Is it the same owner with a new name or new ownership? I liked the Cane and Taro name.

Same owner just "reinvented and rebranded"... aka different menu, etc.

I have no idea why Dave Kodama changed the format and name. I think the name is lousy because the food is much better than the name implies.

I looked at the menu and "Maui Fish and Pasta" has TWO, count them, 2, pasta dishes on the menu.

Huh?

Patti - "Cane and Taro" and "Maui Fish" - same restaurant, new name. How do the menus compare? I don't recall.

Pull up the Whaler's Village website for general info. And I don't know if you have this - the rough Ka'anapali map. kaanapaliresort.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/… If this comes up small, click on it.
