On K'aanapali, Maui
Which one Hyatt or Westin and Why??
The Swan Court is indeed a fine restaurant, I like the rooms at the Beach Tower in Westin-but it is an individual choice.
We stayed at The Westin last May and really liked it. We walked to The Hyatt and found it to be absolutely beautiful. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. The best thing is that you can walk to most of the hotels, and The Westin has some really nice areas for pictures.
I highly recommend The Black Rock restaurant at The Sheraton. It is pricey, but good.
For those of you who just went in Dec/Jan- is there really a difference in weather between Kaanapali and Wailea? Deciding between the Hyatt Kaanapali and the Marriott Wailea- same price. Thoughts?
We stayed at the Westing in 1995 - we really enjoyed it - we ate at both hotels - Swan Court was very beautiful indeed - and we also did the luau at the Hyatt which was ok.
One nice thing about the Westin was the proximity to Whaler's Village - we liked to eat on the beach at the one bar/restaurant and watch the sunset.
Hoping to go back early next year to see the humpbacks and are considering both hotels and possibly others.
