Seeking traveler from SJU to Philadelphia, PA

Good afternoon,

I work with Animal Welfare of Culebra & we are seeking a traveler going from San Juan, PR to Philadelphia, PA (direct flight) for a dog escort.

The dog is being adopted by a family in the Philly area & AWC needs a traveler to act as escort. The escort does not pay anything extra, nor do they need to do anything additional.

Should you know of anyone flying this route in the coming weeks, please let me know.

Thanks!!

Good morning again,

Thank you once more. Unfortunately, I just double checked with US Air & they do not allow pets in checked cargo.

Thank you for your response anyhow!

Best,

Terrie

Awww... Sorry!

A few days ago, I shipped 2 cats alone (no escort) via American Airlines Cargo. The price was very reasonable and the airline took very good care of the kitties. The airline also accepts dogs and other animals. Please see the link below.

Yeah, American Airlines seems to be the one most of the rescue agencies use.

So - seeking American Airlines passengers...Help a dog in need!

Good morning,

Thanks for the ideas! We actually use Continental's cargo program-they have an excellent pet transport program-however, they are considerably more expensive.

We also normally use American for our escorts, thus my need to just double check the other airline. I believe that American is one of the few airlines that allows pets in checked baggage.

Still seeking an escort.

Thanks again,

Terrie

hi!

I'm flying Continental from SJU to Newark, NJ on Saturday Dec. 26th. If the adoptive family is willing to drive over to Newark at the time I arrive, or Hoboken, NJ later that day I would be more than happy to take the dog (Both Newark and Hoboken are 1.5 hours car drive from Philly). I could also have the dog stay the night if the family picks up on Sunday, but I have a cat, is the dog ok with cats?
