i want to ship a small, ten pound parcel to cayo coco, from ontario canada, what is the best way.
Hey don
I'd try and find someone whos going and see if they would take it for you.
Cheers
bergerman is absolutely right but 10 lbs is a bit much you might want to try and slim it down some and send a few different parcels.
LENNY
DHL goes to cuba but its gonna cost you a small fortune,
I shipped 2 boxes to Moron last year and had no problems. I shipped through Canada Post I purchaced a shipping box from them and had to fill out a form that is attached to the box which listed the contents and the price. As long as it is valued less than $100 Canadian it should go through. It is expensive and sending a box with someone would be better, but you can ship yourself. It took about 4 weeks to get there.

1 helpful vote Shipping with Canada Post is hit and miss. Some parcels will arrive, others not...
If you want to make sure it will get to it's destination, sending it with an other tourist is the best and less expensive way. But maybe not for a 10kg parcel...
You can also use Antillas Express, and compagny runned by Cubans with an office in Montreal. Most comments I heared about them are good, although one had a bad experience.

1 helpful vote I have just remembered something... Both Cubana and Air Transat now offer a cargo service. You drop of the parcel at there office, and it will arrive at the airport in Cuba within 7-10 days. I know it works for Havana, Holguin and Camaguey, but I don't know if they do it for Cayo Coco. It would be worth to contact them...
For Cubana, you can send a 10kg package for 65$ , and the Cuban has to pay 150CUP to pick it up (duty). You can write to this email to have more infos:
jampitn@rogers.com
JAMP Interfreight Inc.
Andre - Contact person who will answer your calls, emails and any questions (i.e. What other areas of Cuba do you ship to?)
PHN: (905) 812-2686
FAX: (905) 812-2676
As for Air Transat, you have the infos here:

And to be fare, I took the infos on CubaAmor...
