Cadaques to Collioure

We are planning to stay on Costa Brava at Tossa de Mar in July with our two kids (8 and 13). We will definitely go to Cadaques and will visit Dali Port Lligat house. Will it worth to go to Collioure the same day or it will be too much? (Basically the day trip that will include the following: Tossa -> Cadaques, visit to Port Lligat house -> Collioure-> Tossa)

Thank You in advance for your advise.

One last question - - has anyone ever gone by boat from Cadaques to Collioure? Wondering if it is possible to do a private charter from Cadaques...

As for OP's question about Tossa-Cadaques/Port Lligat-Collioure-Tossa, I agree with gene that it is too much. As he said, there are similarities and differences, but with a short visit I think you will only see the similarities.

Collioure is connected with the fauvist art movement and Matisse and Derain lived and painted there for several years before moving inland to Ceret.

For others considering a visit - if you are a Dali fan then Cadaques and Figueres are for you, and if you prefer the fauvists you will probably like better Collioure and the Modern Museum of Art in Ceret.
