Unfortunately it doesn't show our favourite bar. Corner House Sports Bar its just off the main strip opposite the CC Atlantico.

Didn't do restaurants as most bars will sell crisps and nuts (saves more on drinking time)

It is really easy to find bars / restaurants. You are just off the strip by the Zara store, head down to Centro Atlantico, and just beyond is the music square with the better restaurants. 10 mins walk max.

Hi!

There are some lovely restaurants hidden away in the side streets off the main strip too - Little Italy is a gorgeous Italian - the steak Tagliatelle is out of this world as are the tomato bruschetta starters. Mmmmmm.

There's some Indian Restaurants off the side here too (haven't tried these though) and around the harbour, right at the far end of the strip towards the little beach are numerous seafood restaurants.

Enjoy, we are going back in September and I cannot wait! :)

the indians (jaipur and amber) are both good, better than fazz's by the harbour which is actually a chain.

As others have said, it is easy - but I remember it being difficult the first time I came here. We made the dreadful mistake of trying to navigate by using the sea. "If we're facing the sea, we must be here". Wrong!!! The sea's everywhere! Get yourself a map on arrival, that's essential, and spend a while noting where things are (if they aren't already marked).

The important roads / areas are

(1) The Shell Garage - everyone seems to give directions in relation to it. It's on all the maps.

(2) The "Strip" - Calle Nuestra Señora del Carmen to give it it's official mouthful. Runs from Baku Water Park at the top down to the Shell Garage. Many of the roads on either side have interesting places, and those on the right going down lead to the sea. Basically, if you can see something interesting, make a detour; if you can't, there probably isn't anything interesting there for you. It all fades out 100m or so from the strip.

(3) The Old Town and old harbour (pedestrianised) at the lower end of the Strip. Just keep straight on at the end for lots of interesting places.

(4) Calle Lepanto, which is really just an extension of the Strip. It goes uphill and gives access to the other part of the old town, with some bars around. If you take any street to the right and head downhill at some point, you'll end back in the pedestrianised bit.

(5) The Main Road - Calle Juan Carlos I, which runs parallel to the Strip and ends up at the new harbour. This has the bus station, the medical centre and a few bars in it. If you go all the way up C/ Lepanto, you'll get to the most interesting part of it. Turn right for the harbour.

(6) El Campenario. A bit apart from everything else but well worth the walk. It's on all the maps. Shopping centre (supermarket, boutiques, souvenirs etc - open most of the time); kids area on the roof; bowling alley etc; several bars with frequent live outdoor music, some Canarian; Sat am flea market; Sun am enormous craft market.

Enjoy!

canarypaul. The Fuente Park is only 2 or 3 minutes from the Atlintico CC. The apartments are right in the centre, just off the strip. Great location.
