Hi, TC. We've been twice to the Commodoro and would return tomorrow - read my reviews from before - from the airport, about 20 mins, by car - sorry, never taken a taxi, always hire car - lots of 'tourist' shops locally, including tobacco and alcohol - probably the best shops in Palma and the bus service is regular, and cheap. Warm? Who knows, though the last week has been cloudy and cool. Main complaints in the hotel reviews seem to be the food, which I found ok, and the entertainment, mainly bingo. The 'free' drink stops at 11pm prompt, so make sure you're stocked up by then! Have a great holiday, and remember to post a review!
the hotel is a 30 min transfer in car or 40 on a coach its in a good position on the beach but the pool never seems busy i asked around and 2 reasons were given 1 is its not in sun very much so is allways cool 2nd is its bordered by public footpath on 1 side and beach front walkway on other so maybee ppl thinks its to much on public view
the taxi fare is around euros 25 - 30 but set price before you set off if using a airport cab .the weather the last 2 weeks has been a mixed bag but mainly poor but it should start warming up nicely soon
lots of tourists shops all round in the resort but if you want qaulity shopping go in to palma and look round their
