16 year olds going to magalluf,AUGUST 07,few questions...

hi i was just wondering a few things, ive heard and read all different stories about age restrictions and im just posting this to see if i could confirm some things.

5 or 6 of us are hoping to go to magalluf on holiday this summer august 07, 3 girls and 3 lads, 5 of these people will be 16,apart from one , who doesnt turn 16 until 31st august, we're hoping to go on holiday around the dates 7-13th august, around 6 nights.

ive researched flight prices, easyjet, liverpool to palma £116 roughly, for 1 adult, as we all count as adults on easyjet because you have to be over 14, we're thinking of booking through the internet with both the flights and the hotel.

so first question is

would we all be allowed to travel, with parental consent even though none of us will be over 17?

also second question is, we would all count as adults if we stayed in a hotel but if we had already booked with a credit card several months before hand and then we arrived to the hotel and there were five 16 year olds and one 15 year old, do you think they would turn us back?

thank you for any replies, all will be appreciated and if you have any more information you think may be related, that will also be a help, thanks again

If you book the hotel on-line, you could be refused once you arrive and try to check in since they will need your passport and a credit card issued in your name. Spanish law is quite strict on this account.

But as already noted, you should check with both the airline and the hotel you intend to use to see if you can travel with parental consent before you make any reservations

Easyjet would be fine - 14yr olds can travel alone, you just have to be over 16 to accompany an under 14 but 15 and 16 is fine.

hey we met girls last yr who were 16 n they were fine. When booking through travel agencies they wouldnt allow it however over the net they r fine. Do ring the hotel before booking 2 ensure that they are ok with it n make sure they sent u an email or something so that its in writing n if u come across any problem then its there black and white.

Easy jet are fine with flying at 16.

if u do make it 2 magaluf hav a great time we did and were going agen in aug 2007 4 2 weeks! (trust me even that isnt long enough 2 enjoy alllllll the fun)! x
