Monarch holidays to Lido di Jessolo

Has anyone travelled to Lido di Jessolo with Monarch holidays?

I telephoned them to enquire about their holiday to Hotel D'annunzio, one person said there was a rep at the resort and another person said there wasn't?

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could let me know if Monarch are OK?

I am a bit concerned when I get conflicting responses.

Thanks

I have been to Lido di Jesolo twice and if I can't find a beach holiday in France I will be going back. There were plenty of families with children there. There is plenty for children to do. The water park Aqualand is very near. They also had some activities for children on the beach itself. In the evenings Lido di Jesolo is pedestrianised so NO CARS!! Also, the majority of hotels are right on the beach.

If you are looking for peace and quiet though Jesolo is quite lively. There are lots of bars with music/karoake so it can get quite noisy at night. There is no drunken rowdyness and I saw a lot of families out at night with their children.

I really enjoy Lido di Jesolo and would recommend it to anyone. There is something for everyone.

OK thanks - sounds quite encouraging. Did you find it expensive - we are thinking of half board at Hotel D'annunzio or Harry's Hotel but are worried about drinks etc during the day.

I think it depends where you go. During the day we either bought a burger on the beach or pizza. We would also go to the Black Cat Pub near the Piazza Mazzini which is not really a pub like you have in the UK it is more like a Cafe Bar. The couple who run it, Max and Francesca are really nice and speak very good English.

The food is excellent and they serve everything from all day breakfasts, burgers, pasta, etc. Compared to other places in Jesolo the Black Cat was reasonably priced.

I don't know about Hotel D'annunzio as I have never stayed there, but when we stayed at the Le Soleil Hotel we ate enough at breakfast and dinner so we could have a light lunch.
