I can only help you with the weather, I'm afraid, not specific tours. The weather this winter has been very mild, currently we are seeing temperatures around 15 - 18 degrees C. Obviously, it's a lot colder than Abu Dhabi but at present it's really nice. That could, of course, change and I've even known snow in late March and certainly rain. There is currently no growth on the vines, they are bare and all you see are the supporting struts and wires. Also, despite the mild weather, where there are forests of trees that lose their leaves, these are still brown / grey, there's very little by way of new buds on trees yet.

There are many companies offering tours of the Chianti though please note most include a trip to a winery. If no one replies to this post, ask the concierge at your hotel to help. He may also be able to recommend private drivers who could take you around the countryside.

Pisa can be done in a half day trip with your rental car. Take the route via Florence to Pisa then return with the route via San Gimignano and Volterra,

It is quite easy to visit the Chianti area without a tour group. The roads are easy to navigate and in very good condition. From Greve there are some nice day road trips towards Siena(SR222) via Panzano, Radda, Castellina, Volpaia(lovely restaurant here).

Choose any of these destinations then plan on having a nice lunch out, taste and purchase some nice Chianti then return to Greve to sample your wine with some nice meats and cheese.

Also, from Greve, the walk up the hill to Montefioralle through the vineyards is lovely. The restaurant in Montefioralle is very good and such a lovely view.

Have a look at www.viamichelin.com to plan your day trips.
