Wine Tasting in Greve: Villa Vignamaggio or Castello di Verr

Hi,

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip in June to travel around Tuscany. We want to visit the markets in both Greve and Panzano so we are looking to also stop of for some wine tasting. Would you be able to recommend which of these two vineyards we should visit:

Castello di Verrazzano

http://www.verrazzano.com/en/the-castle/#nogo

OR

Villa Vignamaggio

http://www.vignamaggio.com/

Also, if you have any recommendations on accommodation in the area that would be great!

Thanks,

Janine

We have done the wine tour with a full lunch at both Verrazano and Vignamaggio. We enjoyed both immensely. The wines were excellent in both wineries. The guides from both places were informative, charming and passionate about their wine. The views from the both castles were beautiful but a bit nicer from Verrazzano. The lunch was excellent at both places but again Verrazzano gets the nod here. The food was better at Verrazzano and they offer a more complete menu. At Verrazzano, we also got to sample the delicious olive oil that they produce as well as the most amazing balsamic vinager. We are planning another trip to Tuscany this year and our plan is to re-visit Verrazzano. So Castello di Verrazzano is our choice.
