pyrgaki naxos ~ where to stay?

Can anyone recommend any apartments to stay in at Pyrgaki , probably June or September please?

We stayed 4 days Plaka this year, loved Naxos, & want to return en route to our beloved Sikinos & Folegandros again next year

Thanks

Hello,

Faros studios is a recommended accommodation with restaurant and pool-bar at Aliko beach.Just 1 minute from Pirgaki. The family is very friendly and the place is amazing.

Thanks ~ we looked at the Faros web page but they seem to have only double beds & a lot of children there

We are hoping for somewhere quiet ~

If you want somewhere really quiet on Naxos, Moutsouna on the east coast is the place to be.

Pyrgaki is kind of an end of the world type place. It's at least 20 km. from Naxos town and aside from some beautiful beaches there's not too much down there. The paved road ends at Aliko and a packed sand road extends eastward to Pyrgaki. At the end of this road there's a big broken-down hotel complex that was built around 1990 and then apparently went bankrupt. While two or three other smaller hotels have since been built along the road with a taverna or two, the old Pyrgaki hotel gives the area a depressing feel. However if you want peace and quiet, then this is it!
