Faros studios is a recommended accommodation with restaurant and pool-bar at Aliko beach.Just 1 minute from Pirgaki. The family is very friendly and the place is amazing.
Thanks ~ we looked at the Faros web page but they seem to have only double beds & a lot of children there
We are hoping for somewhere quiet ~
Did you go there ? How was it ?
I would like to go there but Im looking for something quiet without music on the beach !!!
Thank you !
No never got there ~ have sent you private message ~ so if you do get there, please let us all know how it is & where to stay that IS quiet with no children / radios etc please!
Pyrgaki is kind of an end of the world type place. It's at least 20 km. from Naxos town and aside from some beautiful beaches there's not too much down there. The paved road ends at Aliko and a packed sand road extends eastward to Pyrgaki. At the end of this road there's a big broken-down hotel complex that was built around 1990 and then apparently went bankrupt. While two or three other smaller hotels have since been built along the road with a taverna or two, the old Pyrgaki hotel gives the area a depressing feel. However if you want peace and quiet, then this is it!
