Jelly fish question

just wondering if there is any problems with dangerous jellyfish in koh Chang at the moment. I am aware that koh mak has had problems for the last few years, has koh Chang ever had the same problems?

I know of a few incidents with box jelly fish on Koh Chang, and most probably I don't know all.

Very irresponsible not to tell the relevant authorities then, as they haven't yet been notified of any.

f there had been confirmed Box Jellyfish incidents off Koh Chang they would have got in the news or been reported somewhere. Or even photographed and the pic uploaded to the internet somewhere.

Not been any reports to the people who matter though. Gossip & rumours are different from reality.

Any dive school would have reported it, likewise the hospital where someone would have been treated who have immediately informed the Thai authorities who handle Box jellyfish cases. These are the same people who co-ordinate with people on Koh Mak in their Box jellyfish prevention efforts.

Divers Alert Network don't have reports about them off Koh Chang.

Likewise http://thailandboxjellyfish.wordpress.com/ dont

Likewise stingeradvisor.com don't

Likewise never been any warnings or reports of incidents around Koh Chang made to the Thai experts as they would then disseminate the info.

Eg K Charatsee at Phuket Marine Biological Centre, Dr. Bussarawit, Director of Thai Natural History Museum & Phuket Aquarium, and K. Potjaman a Biomedical expert at the Thai Ministry of Health - All these people are notified when there is a Box Jellyfish incident anywhere in Thailand .
