Vermont in November

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Stowe in Nov for 3 days with 7 and 2 years old. Can someone recommend outdoor activities to do in Nov,scenic drives and free way to top of mountain? Thanks

The only free way up the mountain would be to hike it. There is snow up there now FYI.

It is a pretty sleepy, blah time of year. Right in Stowe is the recreation path which would be fun for biking/walking/rollerblading. The Swimming Hole is a local indoor pool which might have some public swim times. You can always go to Cold Hollow Cider Mill and Ben & Jerry's. If you are coming in the next 2 weeks know that it is deer hunting season and if you venture into the woods to please wear blaze orange.
