Public transportation

Hi,

We'll be staying at the Okemo ski resort as part of a ski club trip and arriving via charter bus. Is there any type of public transportation to town? Courtesy shuttles? Any grocery stores or food places within walking distance of the resort?

Thank you!

There are probably one-man taxi operations in the area. Your best bet is to call the resort and ask these questions. They'll be best informed to answer your questions about transport. Keep in mind that "town" (Ludlow) is pretty small with just a handful of shops and restaurants although there is a grocery store. It's about a mile from the resort base.

"The Current" services Ludlow on their Bellow Falls to Rutland route. www.CRtransit.org

Ludlow-Rutland-Manchester-Killington is a bus route of the Marble Valley Transit system. www.thebus.com

Both routes offer very, very limited weekday service.
