Killington in January-Best stay & eats?

I'm planning a trip to Killington for some skiing in January. Anyone with info on better places to stay for Ski-in ski-out lodging? Also, info on good places to eat and night life? Any ifo is appreciated!

One problem with ski in ski out, you will have a further drive to the clubs and restaurants. If the weather is bad, you eat in.

One alternative is to stay near the base lodge lifts, theres a good choice of condos and hotels that you can walk to the lifts in several minutes, or hop on their local shuttle, running every 15 minutes or so.

If you have a desire to eat more than chicken wings and drink goombay smashes, (not a bad diet for most of killington friends) try Choices Restaurant. There are more, but this one is very good -consistantly. While you are there, pick up a copy of the mountain times, the list of entertainment should hold you. You can also google the mountain times today. Johnny Mac

Hi VacFool,

If you are prepared to drive for half an hour east Woodstock has a good range of eating places (Pane e Salute and the Lauren Inn both have had good reviews in the Boston Globe www.Boston.com under Vermont) and Simon Pearce at Quechee is world renowned and affordable! Check out www.woodstockvt.com

However it has ZERO night life! In Killington the Wobbly Barn has good live acts.
