Local / organic restaurant in Burlington, VT

Does anyone have a recommendation for a restaurant in Burlington, VT that:

1. serves local and organic food

2. is open on Sundays

3. kids friendly, i.e. burgers from grass fed meat and organic

My youngest son has to have surgery on Monday, December 16th. We are looking for a yummy place to eat good food Sunday eve.

Thanks!

Paula

The Farmhouse. Not all organic, but most definitely local.

Checked out the website. Exactly what I am looking for: good food from local farmers in a comfy & fun setting.

Blessings. This will make my kids' night before he goes under the surgical knife.

Merry Christmas, Paula

That's my top pick for organic/local too. American Flatbread is another place, owned by the same folks. They have lots of interesting flatbread pizzas (dozens of 'em). They as well as The Farmhouse also have an extensive selection of beers, in case that's of interest.

Best wishes for a quick recovery! (IMHO, the BTV medical center is top-notch.)

We'll be flying in before going to Smuggs. We'll visit this Whole Foods type of market, stock up, and head out.

These type of places usually have juice and salad bars with lasagna and pasta in trays. Yes, it's kinda expensive at $8.99 a pound, but a good variety.

When I last looked the Healthy Living market was quite different than a Whole Foods. Much smaller, much less selection and more expensive (for some stuff at least). It's a good store for sure - just not really comparable to WF IMHO. Same for City Market in downtown Burlington.
