LaQuinta, Best West WindJammer or Hampton Inn? Help please

Travelling to Burlington this weekend to look at colleges with husband and 17 year old son.

We will not be in the room much, mostly just to sleep.

However, we want a very clean room with comfortable beds.

Can anyone provide advise about LaQuinta, Best Western Windjammer or Hampton Inn?

LaQuinta and Best Western are significantly cheaper than the newer Hampton Inn ($79 vs $119 per night).

Also, which has best location to get to colleges easily?

Any input will be greatly appreciated. We have never been to Burlington.

You can't go wrong with any of them IMO. The Best Western & the La Quinta are just down the road from UVM and are probably the most convenient of the 3 to UVM/Champlain and downtown. The Hampton Inn is in Colchester and is convenient to St. Mike's.

As I said before, you can't go wrong. If it were me though, I'd stay on Williston Road (La Quinta or BW) just because its a little more convenient and there is other stuff to do in the immediate vicinity (Higher Ground Music Hall, University Mall, restaurants, etc).

If you're looking at UVM, the Sheraton is right next door and walking distance.

If you like a lake view, the Hilton (formerly Radisson) is quite nice.

Both are probably a bit more expensive than the 3 you mentioned. All of those would probably require a car or bus to visit any of the colleges.
